Art Gallery
We will be discovering our creative side during this fun and messy week. Children will explore different art mediums including various forms of painting, drawing and sculpting. We will also learn about artists and their masterpieces
Detective Academy
Send your young spy in for a week of finding hints and following clues. We will tap into their natural curiosity and observations of the world around them as we learn the skills necessary to solve a series of classroom mysteries!
Fairy Tale Theater
Let’s have fun with fairy tales! We will spark children's imaginations and encourage their creative thinking, language development and early literacy skills with stories, games and activities based on favorite classic fairy tales. Exciting adventures await!
Geology Rocks!
Join us on a geology adventure! We will explore rocks of all kinds, volcanoes, earthquakes, erosion, and more! The children will learn about the "hidden" world around them and the amazing things our Earth can do.
Great Space Adventure
Excite your young astronaut about space education. Join us for astronaut training where we will study the fundamental principles of flight, the solar system and other aerospace themes. Concepts such as oxygen, orbit, and gravity will be explored as we prepare to take a trip to the moon!
Literature Based Cooking
Get ready to savor good books and delicious recipes. This camp will encourage young readers and involve students in enjoyable hands-on cooking experiences. They will build self-confidence as they successfully prepare the recipes in class and then make them again at home to share with family and friends. Not recommended for children with food allergies.
Slippery Slimy Science
Children will develop investigative skills while they learn about science and the world around us. As science detectives, children will find answers by predicting, observing, conducting experiments, collecting and recording data, and then drawing conclusions.
Under the Big Top with Numbers
Come one! Come all! Come join us at the 3 Ring Math Circus! There will be lions and tigers and elephants as we clown our way through patterns, sorting, counting, adding, and subtracting. Children will take a virtual tour through the big top as we explore math through hands-on activities, art, and music.
Each camp is one week, Monday-Friday. The hours are 9:00-12:00.
Number of children per age group is limited and spaces are filled on a first come, first serve basis.
Summer programs are open to the public as well as Apple Creek families.
Teacher-child ratios are slightly higher for summer preschool than for the regular school program.
Children signed up for both sessions may not have the same teachers for all sessions
